January 18, 2018 – Determined to bring energy and enthusiasm to the residents of the 193rd District, Torren Ecker officially announces his candidacy to replace retiring State Representative Will Tallman.

As a dedicated family man, local businessperson and community leader, Ecker stands for the values and integrity of the people of Adams and Cumberland County and looks forward to sharing his unique, pragmatic vision with the residents of the 193rd Legislative District.

"First and foremost, I am committed to bringing my fiscal responsibility to Harrisburg to protect the hardworking families of the district.  Being raised in a blue-collar family, working my way through college and supporting my young family, I appreciate the importance of keeping more money in taxpayers’ wallets.  The residents of Adams and Cumberland County surely know how to spend their hard-earned money better than Harrisburg."

Ecker currently provides legal advice at Becker & Strausbaugh to families, veterans, farmers, seniors, non-profits and small businesses on a wide array of legal matters in Adams, Cumberland and York Counties.  In addition, Ecker is committed to his community through the various organizations he serves including the East Berlin Community Center, Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce and Junior Achievement.  Through his legal experience and community involvement, Ecker has seen firsthand how government does and does not work for taxpayers.

Ecker was lucky enough to marry his high-school sweetheart, Laura, who is a special education teacher with the Lincoln Intermediate Unit in its autistic support program. They have two young children: Addy and Oliver. "Raising a young family, I am motivated to make our community stronger for future generations."

“I am determined to protect the values, heritage and way of life of the Adams/Cumberland taxpayers and I have the proven experience to provide real solutions to the life challenges we all face as Pennsylvanians.”
